1976
A solitary ornament, an angel, was minted in 1976 and was the first issued in the Danbury Gold Christmas Ornament Collection.  She was simple and elegant.  Skillfully crafted of solid brass and then richly electroplated with genuine 23kt gold, that single Angel began a tradition which continues today and, as is this collector's hope, for many years to come.
