1977 Danbury Mint Ornaments

This was the first year that The Danbury Mint issued twelve ornaments (one per month) plus an annual. This year still exemplified the simple elegance of the original Angel ornament. Each depicting a symbol of Christmas, the collection of 13 ornaments per year began. Danbury wanted to assure safe-keeping of these gorgeous ornaments so they also issued their first collectors' storage box (forest green) which had slots designed to fit each ornament and an instruction sheet to help the owner properly place each ornament.
